For today’s U20 AFCON Group A final game against Mozambique, the Flying Eagles have made only a change in the starting XI that beat hosts Egypt, but several keys players are in danger of missing the quarterfinals should they qualify.
Winger Haliru Sarki, one of the survivors from the qualifiers last year, has given way to Emma Uchegbu from Plateau United.
Uchegbu is expected to be more direct going at the Mozambican defence.
Otherwise, goalkeeper Chijoke Anigboso keeps his place ahead of Nathaniel Nwosu after a great outing against Egypt, Nasarawa United striker Francis Ayuba leads the attack and Mohammed Aminu features in midfield in the absence of the injured Daniel Daga.
However, coach Ladan Bosso must also be alert in his selection as three of his key players are just a booking away from suspension should the Flying Eagles reach the quarterfinal.
Captain Daniel Bameyi, midfielder Onuche Ogbelu and striker Olamilekan Adams have already been booked thus far and will have to serve out a one-match ban should they be booked again today.
