Tolu Arokodare has said he is not under any pressure to replace fellow Nigeria striker Paul Onuachu at Genk.
The striker has signed a contract for four and half years at the Belgian club after Onuachu was transferred to Southampton in the Premier League.
It was a direct replacement and as expected comparisons will be made, but Arokodare has insisted he is not bothered.
”But I don’t care what the previous striker did here, does it?”, Arokodare told Het Belang van Limburg.
“I certainly don’t mean that in a bad way, but I just have to do my job here.
“If Paul had scored two goals this season, it would be just as important for me to score now. I shouldn’t concern myself with others, but just focus on my own job.”
The 22-year-old striker made a goal-scoring debut for Genk at Westerlo to get going at his new club.
