Argentina took the lead after two minutes through leading scorer Alejo Sarco, before they doubled their advantage in the 23rd minute through a free kick by Maher Carrizo.
The six-time champions completed the routing in the second half with two more goals by Carrizo and Mateo Silvetti to set up a quarterfinal against either hosts Chile or Mexico.
The Flying Eagles defence led by captain Daniel Bameyi was shaky and the team failed to create chances upfront.
