The FCT Football Association have set up a three-man committee to redesign both the men and women’s leagues in Abuja in a bold effort to attract sponsors and more interest.
FCT FA chairman Adam Mouktar Mohammed disclosed this after a board meeting in Abuja.
“We want to revamp the leagues to attract sponsors and spectators,” he said.
“The board has therefore tasked a three-man committee to do that.
“To start with the board has asked for a downward review of the 80,000 Naira for a club to register for the league.”
The FA have also rolled out plans for fresh elections into the various area council FAs after their tenures expired.
“We have to give the area councils more attention and focus because they are our foundation,” Mouktar Mohammed explained.
