FCT FA chairman Adam Mouktar Mohammed has bagged a special award from the Nigerian Football Coaches Association Kano chapter following his resounding election victory.
“I am honoured by this recognition and I am further committed to make myself available to serve for the development and promotion for football,” Mouktar Mohammed said.
The award was received on his behalf by coach Mansur Abdullahi.
Businessman and politician Mohammed toppled incumbent Musa Talle 11-4 at the polls in June in Kuje.
He has since swung into action by entering a co-operation pact with two top European clubs, Juventus and Bayern Munich, of youth development with the FCT FA.
He also staged the inaugural U15 tournament involving the various area councils in the Federal Capital Territory.
He equally committed his personal funds to give the Area 3 Sports Ground a befitting face lift after so many years of neglect.
