Hugely criticised David Okereke opened his goals account for the new season as champions Club Brugge thumped Waasland-Beveren 4-1.
Okereke, who is now being played on the left side of the attack, hit target in the 50th minute to make it 3-1 and put some of his critics in their place.
Last season, he netted nine goals but critics said he did not justify the eight million Euros Club Brugge paid to Spezia of Italy to sign him.
Fellow Nigeria star Emmanuel Dennis caused the penalty from which Club Brugge scored their first goal.
Club Brugge have climbed to third place on nine points from five matches, three points behind surprise leaders Sporting Charleroi.
