SCORENigeria has scooped that Kelechi Iheanacho and Jamilu Collins, who has been recalled by the Super Eagles after he was axed for the AFCON, will start today’s Jollof Derby against Ghana.
Iheanacho did not enjoy regular playing time at the AFCON despite recovering fully from a thigh injury that almost ruled him out of the tournament.
He also shone in training, but coach Jose Peseiro still maintained he had not fallen out with the Leicester City striker and so the reason he froze him out of his starting XI.
Collins, on the other hand, did not make the final cut to the AFCON as Peseiro picked Zaidu Sanusi and Bruno Onyemaechi at leftback position.
The 29-year-old defender has fully recovered from an ACL injury that cost him to miss most of last season.
He has made 32 appearances and scored a goal for his mid-table English Championship side thus far this season.
Kick-off time today is 5pm in Nigeria.
