Samuel Chukwueze scored what proved to be the winner for Villarreal to win 1-0 at the Turkish club of Olanrewaju Kayode, Sivasspor, while Wilfred Ndidi played his first match in eight weeks as Leicester City lost their first tie in the Europa League.
Chukwueze hit target on 75 minutes for his La Liga club in Turkey, when he coolly guided the ball into an empty net after he was set up with a short cross. He was replaced a minute later.
It was the first game Kayode failed to score as he was not listed.
He had scored in his club’s first four group games.
In another Europa League tie, Leicester City lost their 100% record in the group stage when they stumbled at Zorya of Ukraine with defensive midfielder Ndidi back in action after a groin injury that kept him out since September.
He started the game, but was then replaced in the 56th minute.
However, Leicester have already qualified for the knockout Round of 32 of the Europa League.
