It was a story of contrasting fortunes for Super Eagles stars in today’s UEFA Champions League clash when AC Milan welcomed Club Brugge.
Raphael Onyedika was sent off for a dangerous tackle that needed a lengthy VAR check, while Samuel Chukwueze came off the bench to dazzle for the home team.
Onyedika got a straight red card in the 40th minute to reduce Belgian champions Club Brugge to 10 men.
It needed up to five minutes for VAR to confirm his expulsion.
Chukwueze, on the other hand, came on after an hour for Rafael Leao and provided an assist for Milan to win 3-1.
