Norwegian club Sogndal have signed central defender Emmanuel Olufemi Olugbe on loan with option to buy on a permanent basis.
Olugbe, 18, has signed a season-long loan deal from Hyperbuzz FC (HB) of Abuja.
Sogndal sports director Flo Havard said the player impressed during trials in February and he now has the chance to monitor his development very closely.
“Emmanuel is a centre-back with a lot of speed and good in duels,” remarked Havard.
“In the training matches, he has shown that he is a promising player with a lot of potential.
“Off the pitch, he is a nice boy who quickly became part of the group.”
The likes of Jerome Akor and Peter Michael featured for Sogndal.
The new signing could make his debut today at Mjondalen in a Norwegian second division league game.
