Both coach Desiree Ellis and captain Thembi Kgatlana have vowed to turn the table in Pretoria Tuesday when they welcome the Super Falcons in the return leg of the Paris 2024 Olympics.
The Super Falcons edged past Banyana Banyana 1-0 today for the tie to be delicately poised going into the rematch in South Africa.
“The end result will be on Tuesday,” maintained skipper Kgatlana.
“We will be at home, familiar with the conditions, that will be advantage.”
She claimed that away goals do not count double in the Olympics qualifiers.
Coach Ellis praised her team’s defence, while promising an improved performance in Pretoria.
“Defensively we were very solid,” she said.
“We raised our game in the second half and created some chances.
“We will be better in the second game.
“It’s halftime, there’s still another half.”
