No thanks to the Coronavirus Pandemic, Club Brugge have slashed by more than half the Belgian championship bonus for the players.
Club Brugge paid out as much as 3.2 million Euros to the players when they were crowned champions in 2018, but they will now pay out 1.4 million Euros for the likes of Emmanuel Dennis and David Okereke to share.
The sharing formula of this bonus will be according to number of appearances in the league.
The Belgian league was aborted on account of the Coronavirus Pandemic with Club Brugge declared champions as they led the table during the regular season.
They will feature in next season’s UEFA Champions League again.
