Chidera Ejuke is closing in on a transfer to top Russian club CSKA Moscow for 12 million Euros, according to a report.
Regional newspaper Leeuwarder Courant disclosed that SC Heerenveen have finally agreed the winger’s transfer to Russia.
Only twice previously have Heerenveen sold a player for more money – in January 2008 Afonso Alves moved to Middlesbrough for 17 million Euros and six months later Miralem Sulejmani to Ajax for 16.25 million Euros.
Last summer, Ejuke made the switch from the Norwegian club Valerenga for two million Euros.
A year later, SC Heerenveen will earn six times that amount, although part will also flow back to Valerenga and part will be used to cover a budget deficit.
Cash from the Ejuke transfer can now allow the Dutch club to bring in new players ahead of the new season.
