Victor Boniface and Leke James have continued to shoot their Norwegian clubs to the top, while in Latvia defender Chinonso Offor grabbed his ninth goal of the season and compatriot Tolu Akorodare is leading scorer with 15 goals.
5.Chinonso Offor
The defender notched his ninth goal of the season as Latvian club Rigas FS, who now have 40 points from 16 matches, stayed within striking distance of leaders and city rivals Riga. Offor, 20, had scored four goals from defence at his previous club, BFS Daugavpils, and so his tally of nine goals for the season.
4.Daryl Dike
The younger brother of Bright Dike netted his first goal as a professional for Orlando City in the Major League Soccer in the USA. His team fell 3-2 to Inter Miami.
3.Tolu Arokodare
The Anderlecht target called off his strike to score his 15th goal of the season for Latvian club Valmiera FC against Jelgava. He had missed his team’s last league game so as to force a transfer to Belgium. He is now the leading scorer in the top-flight league in Latvia and club remain third on the table.
2.Leke James
The experienced striker was again on target for champions Molde in a 2-0 home win over Odd. He has now banged seven goals this season and his club are second in the standings with 34 points from 16 matches. Last season, he accounted for 15 goals for Molde to again be crowned champions.
1.Victor Boniface
The big striker scored twice to take his tally to five goals in three starts for runaway leaders of the Norwegian league Bodo/Glimt in a 6-0 mauling of IK Start. His club are unbeaten and seven points clear at the top of the table in Norway.
