Rafiu Durosinmi has already fired five goals for new club Genk in Belgium and he is confident he will get his chance with the Super Eagles even though he was overlooked for forthcoming matches.
The Super Eagles will take on Madagascar and Guinea Bissau in 2027 AFCON qualifiers later this month, before a friendly against Russia early next month.
Durosinmi made his Super Eagles debut at the Unity Cup in London in May.
And he is confident he will soon get another chance to show what he can do for the national team.
“My time will come. Those who are in the squad now are doing an excellent job. I just have to keep working really hard at Genk,” he said.
“Nigeria is truly blessed in that regard (with top strikers). Everyone is doing well at their club, so if you get selected, you should count yourself lucky. If you don’t get called up, that doesn’t mean you aren’t good enough.”
