Former coach Hugo Broos has said Club Brugge have a new Amokachi in Senegal youngster Youssouph Badji and they should therefore stick with him.
Badji, 18, has scored twice in four league appearances including the winner against rivals Genk.
Amokachi was a teenager when he took Belgium by storm with Club Brugge in the 90s.
And his coach then has said the Belgian champions should give their young Senegal striker all the support and confidence rather than rush to the transfer market to buy a big-name striker.
Broos told Krant van West-Vlaanderen: “At that time I also made the choice for Daniel Amokachi, also a teenager at the time, and he stayed there almost the entire season.
“But I played with two strikers, if Amokachi was not that effective, I still had Foeke Booij.”
Amokachi will go on to move to the Premier League with Everton based on his performance at Club Brugge.
