Chima Akas has said he is happy to get a chance to join Portuguese club OS Belenenses from Kalmar FF of Sweden.
“Thank God for another opportunity at Belenenses,” he tweeted.
“Thanks to @KalmarFF,fans, players, backroom staff for great games and wonderful moments.”
The left back enjoyed two great seasons at Kalmar.
Last season, the former Enyimba defender played 25 league matches.
Akas, 25, has been capped by the Super Eagles, CHAN Eagles, Nigeria U23 and U20s.
Lisbon-based Belenenses will open the new season tonight at Portimonense.
