Joe Aribo opened his goals’ account at the weekend and now his boss at Rangers has backed the versatile midfielder to get more goals this season.
The 25-year-old Aribo has made remarkable progress in front of goal since his first season in Scotland when he scored three goals.
Last season, he netted seven times.
“It was a fantastic finish and we want him to keep doing that, scoring goals and he ahs got the license when we name that midfield three to go forward and be a bit more ambitious,” said Rangers manager Steven Gerrard after Aribo’s curled goal at Ross County this past weekend.
“We want to be as ruthless in the box as we can be and that is what a Rangers team should look like.”
