Napoli have announced they will appeal against the two-match ban imposed on Victor Osimhen after he was sent off against Venezia at the weekend.
The Naples club said in an official statement on their website they will appeal the suspension.
According to the match referee, Osimhen slapped the Venezia defender in an off-ball incident.
Osimhen will miss his team’s next two league games against Genoa and Juventus.
Napoli coach Luciano Spalletti was also warned during the Serie A match in question, which his team won 2-0 despite Osimhen’s expulsion.
