How much of the transfer fee of 35 million euros agreed by both Atalanta and Fenerbache for Ademola Lookman as well as how soon the other installmental payments will be made are what have held back a conclusion of the player’s switch to Turkey.
Ademola Lookman has already agreed personal terms with Fenerbache, making it clear he does not wish to consider Atletico Madrid option.
Top Transfer Expert Nicolo Schira reported: “Ademola #Lookman has reiterated to #Atalanta he is willing to leave and join #Fenerbache, which have a total agreement with the Nigerian forward for a 4-year contract (9million Euros/year).
“The winter transfer window in Turkey expires on February 6 and so Fener are confident to sign him.”
Various reports have suggested that both teams agreed on a transfer fee of 35 million euros with an additional five million euros in add-ons.
Fenerbache are prepared to make a down payment of 10 millions euros with the balance to be paid in tranches.
Atalanta want the Turkish giants to pay at least 60% of the transfer fee, which would be around 20 million euros, while also insisting on a short time for the balance payment.
The Italian club are also demanding for bank guarantees for these payments, just as Napoli did as per the transfer of Victor Osimhen to another Turkish club, Galatasaray, last summer.
