Samuel Adegbenro has retraced his steps to former Norwegian club Viking on loan from China.
Adegbenro, 27, has agreed a loan transfer from Chinese club Beijing Guoan.
He played for the Norwegian club between 2014 and 2018.
“He is coming on loan for the rest of the season. It is on the condition that he passes his medical examination on Tuesday, all documents and negotiations are in place,” Viking sports director Erik Nevland told Nettavisen.
Viking will not have a purchase option.
“It is a good signing and we are very satisfied,” Nevland told Nettavisen.
Beijing Guoan signed the Nigerian striker from Swedish club IFK Norrköping in March 2022.
Adegbenro scored 17 goals and two assists in 30 Allsvenskan matches in the 2021 season
