Kenneth Omeruo and Sadiq Umar will come face-to-face today as CD Leganes play host to UD Almeria in a battle of third against fifth in the Spanish Segunda Division.
Sadiq Umar, for one, is set to hit double digits of goals for Almeria after he bagged a hat-trick to take his tally to nine goals in 19 league appearances.
‘Jololo’ is presently cynosure of all eyes as a growing number of clubs have taken notice of his exploits.
“I really don’t want to talk about how many goals I will score before the end of the season, I just want to remain focused and be a team player and assist the team to return to La Liga,” he said.
“I think team performance is more important than individual performance. I’m not thinking about the highest goal scorer, I’m thinking about how Almeria can return to La Liga.”
Omeruo took a massive pay cut after Leganes were relegated last season because he believes he can help them to get back to the top league immediately.
The experienced defender has made 10 appearances this season as Leganes fight to catch up with the front runners with Almeria seven points clear of them.
