Napoli coach has said Victor Osimhen is “upset, not smiling and living badly” after he injured his shoulder on Super Eagles duty, but reports out of Italy have suggested he could finally be back in action against Sampdoria on December 13.
Osimhen dislocated his shoulder during an AFCON qualifier against Sierra Leone last month in Benin City and has not played since then.
Napoli coach Genarro Gattuso has since revealed the striker has not taken his injury very well.
“He is upset, does not smile and he is living badly,” the coach was quoted as saying.
Osimhen missed tonight’s UEFA Europa League clash against AZ Alkmaar and he will also be missing in action against Crotone in Serie A on Sunday as well as his team’s final group game in the Europa League against Real Sociedad.
However, various reports said he should be back playing again against Sampdoria in the league on December 13.
