SCORENigeria has reliably gathered that Nigeria CAF Champions League campaigners Plateau United have made frantic efforts to get a coach who will lead them in the continental competition after they shockingly discovered that coach Abdul Makaiba is not qualified to sit on the bench.
A source close to the team told SCORENigeria that the club management has made various contacts including reaching out to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) in their search to get a qualified coach according to CAF standards.
“The CAF rule says a coach must have at least CAF A license. It came as a shock to the team because the coach does not have that,” he informed.
“The management are in talks with NFF so they can help to get a qualified coach to sit on the bench.”
The African football apex ruling body said the minimum qualification a coach should have to sit on the bench for a CAF-organised competition is CAF A license.
