Stephen Odey scored for a second-string KRC Genk team to beat second division RWDM 3-2 in a friendly today.
Odey was left out of yesterday’s league opener at Zulte Waregem.
Ambitious RWDM led their more illustrious opponents 2-0 before Genk fought back to win 3-2 with Odey among the goals.
Defender Shawn Adewoye, who has Nigerian roots, was also on target for Genk, while Paul Onuachu, who came off the bench to score on Sunday in the league, featured in the friendly.
The towering striker has admitted he is not 100% after he only recently recovered from Coronavirus.
