Partizan Belgrade striker Sadiq Umar has been offered to KAA Gent but can the Belgian club afford his huge price tag, which is put at between 10 and 15 million Euros.
Gent star striker Jonathan David has attracted some of Europe’s top clubs and could go for as much as 25 million Euros.
The club will therefore be shopping for a direct replacement for the Canada international.
They are impressed with what they have seen of Umar, who has netted 17 goals and provided 16 assists in 38 games in Serbia this season.
The 23-year-old Nigeria star has a contract with Partizan till December 31, 2022 after he joined permanently from AS Roma last year.
He has already been linked to several top clubs, from Manchester United to Bayer Leverkusen.
