Manchester United have agreed Odion Ighalo’s loan extension till January 2021 pending a formal approval.
The striker’s initial loan deal from Shanghai Shensua ended Sunday.
This means he will now miss a good part of the new Chinese Super League season.
Ighalo scored four goals in eight appearances before the Premier League was suspended due to the Coronavirus Pandemic.
His current deal with Shensua is till December 2022.
He is expected to sign a contract offer by the Chinese club, which will pay him 400,000 pounds a week and run till December 2024.
