Flying Eagles Jerome Akor and Ogbu Igho played a starring role as Sogndal recorded a shock 2-1 win at Norwegian champions Molde in a friendly.
Both striker Akor and central defender Igho started for the second division Sogndal.
Interestingly, it was another Nigerian, Leke James, who grabbed hosts Molde face-saving goal.
“It was a great result for us as we remain unbeaten since pre-season,” Akor told SCORENigeria
“We are a young team with so much enthusiasm who are always determined to win.”
The big striker also said top target is win promotion back to the top league in Norway.
Sogndal will play another friendly Saturday at home against newly-promoted Aalesund.
