Tolu Arokodare is shinning and scoring goals on loan with Ajax, but a permanent transfer to the Dutch giants may be difficult to pull off.
Ajax have an option to buy Tolu Arokodare for 20 million euros at the end of his loan spell by season’s end.
Johan Inan of Algemeen Dagblad reported that exercising the purchase option will be very difficult, especially if Ajax did not qualify for the UEFA Champions League.
He mentioned that if Ajax qualified for the Champions League, they could potentially trigger the option, but it would require stretching their transfer budget significantly and could affect the rest of the transfer budget.
Arokodare has scored nine goals and provided three assists in 14 official matches for Ajax.
