Rafiu Durosinmi was Genk record signing in the summer and he is now the leading scorer in the Pro League with six goals. Will he now get a second chance to fly with the Super Eagles after his first audition in May did not go exactly to plan?
5.Chibuike Nwaiwu
The commanding central defender opened his goals’ account in the Turkish Super Lig when Trabzonspor won 3-0 at Samsunspor. Last season, he scored thrice in the Turkish top league. His club are now fifth in the standings with 13 points from seven matches, three points behind new leaders Galatasaray as momentum gathers in the championship.
4.Kelechi Iheanacho
The 30-year-old striker fired his 12th goal in the Turkish second division just days after he announced his return to the Super Eagles with another superb rocket. Both his goal against Russia in a friendly and his eequaliser for Bursaspor against Mardin 1969 were his trademark left-footed strike on top of the box. He was the Man of the Match. His goals will be crucial in his club’s bid to play in the Super Lig next season.

3.Terem Moffi
The Super Eagles striker was an impact sub as he came off the bench to score his first goal in the German Bundesliga for Hamburg to record an important win at Hoffenheim. This should set the tone for more goals for the striker after his transfer from French Ligue 1 club OGC Nice. Hamburg won only their second game of the season 3-2 and are now 12th in the standings with six points from five matches.
2.Friday Etim
The athletic striker celebrated being named Super Liga Player of the Month with a Man-of-the-match display for FC Midtjylland to beat FC Copenhagen and cut the gap at the top of the table to just two points. Etim has now netted six goals and made three assists in 11 appearances for his latest club.

1.Rafiu Durosinmi
He cost Genk a little fortune – 105 million euros – when he signed from Italian club Pisa in the summer, but he is already paying back such investment with goals and some excellent all-round top performances. He scored his sixth goal of the season for Genk to smash past KV Kortrijk 3-0 at home. His performance was rewarded with a second Man of the Match award. He is now the leading scorer in the Pro League and proudly following in the footsteps of fellow Nigerian strikers Paul Onuachu and Tolu Arokodare, who used Genk as launch pad to the Premier League. In May, he failed to impress on his debut for the Super Eagles and will now need a second chance to fly with the national team.
