Flying Eagles winger Musa Akinfenwa will continue at Swedish club IFKVarnamo on a permanent contract.
Värnamo announced that the 19-year-old winger will remain in Sweden.
The club have chosen to exercise the option contained in the loan agreement and the Nigerian has signed a contract that extends beyond 2030.
“He has already gained experience from Superettan and shown that he can contribute at this level. We see great development potential in Musa and are very happy that we now have the opportunity to make the loan permanent,” said sporting director Jörgen Pettersson.
The player himself said: “I am very happy and really looking forward to the opportunity to continue my journey with IFK Värnamo on a permanent basis. Since I came to the club on loan I have felt welcome and received support from everyone.”
Akinfenwa has played six games for IFK Värnamo this season.
Before moving to Sweden, he played for Real Sapphire FC.
