The Super Eagles dropped Unity Cup hero Femi Azeez because he has yet to recover from a hamstring injury.
It was understood that Femi Azeez was originally on the squad for the 2027 AFCON qualifiers against Madagascar and Guinea Bissau.
However, the injury has meant he has yet to make his Premier League debut for new club Brighton.
Exciting winger Femi Azeez shone at this year’s Unity Cup, scoring twice and providing an assist for the Super Eagles to retain the Unity they won the previous year.
