Victor Osimhen is now a major doubt for next week’s UEFA Champions League tie at Sporting Lisbon after he scored again for Galatasaray tonight, only to be forced out by a suspected groin injury.
Osimhen opened scoring for visitors Galatasaray at fellow Istanbul rivals Basaksehir after just 16 minutes.
He has now netted six goals and made two assists in four Super Lig appearances this season.
However, the Super Eagles striker was then forced out of the encounter in the 33rd minute making him a major doubt for Wednesday’s trip to Sporting Lisbon of Portugal in the Champions League.
Galatasaray needed a winner on 90 minutes to beat hosts Basaksehir 3-2 and consolidate their leadership in the Super Lig.
They have 10 points from four matches, three points clear of second-placed Genclerbirligi.
