Officials of world football governing body FIFA and Confederation of African Football (CAF) will next week meet with the National Sports Commission (NSC) in Abuja to chart the way forward for Nigerian football.
This followed the resignation of the NFF executive committee led by president Ibrahim Gusau.
Arise TV reported this meeting today.
The parley will be expected to decide a normalisation committee that will take charge of the much-needed reform of Nigerian football.
In the meantime, the processes leading to NFF elections on September 27 in Lafia have been suspended.
A major administrative shake-up has also been carried at the NFF secretariat and the country’s leagues.
Emmanuel Ikpeme will now lead the secretariat in an acting capacity, while the bosses of the NPFL, NNL, NWFL and NLO have been fired.
