Super Eagles forward Peter Olayinka has revealed the role Odion Ighalo played for him to sign for relegated Saudi Arabian club Al Wehda.
Ighalo last played for Al Wehda when they were relegated from the Saudi Arabian top league.
Olayinka told SCORENigeria: “I spoke to the coach of the team and he explained to me the club’s project.
“I thought about it, it was interesting.
“I then spoke to Odion Ighalo, who previously played for the same club. He spoke highly of the club’s project and he said I should join them.”
Olayinka said he now hopes to make the most of his opportunity in Saudi Arabia.
“I am here to be successful with the team, to make great history with them,” he stated.
“It’s a great honour to be here to do great things.
“I am here to give my best.”
