This followed the Super Falcons dismal showing at the 2026 WAFCON in Morocco, where the 10-time champions failed to qualify for the 2027 World Cup in Brazil.
The NFF announced via their official X handle that the executive committee has ordered members of the Super Falcons technical crew led by Madugu to step down with immediate effect.
Long-time Super Falcons assistant coach Madugu was halfway through a two-year contract he won after he led the country to a record-extending 10th WAFCON in Morocco last year.
His replacement was not named.
