The Super Eagles striker, who came close several times in a goalless first half, finally opened his goals account in the new season on 53 minutes.
However, promoted Corum FK drew level soon after, before they raced to a 2-1 lead in the 61st minute.
The visitors were reduced to 10 men in the 70th minute after a player was sent off.
It was then left for Osimhen to save Galatasaray with a second goal in the 90th minute.
