Sky Sports has reported that after staging a transfer coup by signing Zadok Yohanna, ambitious Premier club Brighton are on the hunt for another exciting Nigerian youngster – Honest Ahanor.
Sky Sport reported that a delegation from Brighton was in Milan for a series of transfer meetings. Among the players followed is Honest Ahanor, a defender born in 2008 from Atalanta.
The operation is described as not simple at the moment, as Atalanta do not seem willing to part with the player.
It has previously been reported that Atalanta would require 40 million euros to consider a transfer for the Nigerian defender, whose Transfermarkt market value is currently €20 million.
Chelsea had previously attempted to sign him last June before he was acquired by the Gli Orobici from Genoa in July 2025.
