Ademola Lookman, who scored and made another goal in a UEFA Champions League win at Eintracht Frankfurt in midweek, doubled his team’s lead in the 51st minute.
It was a smart tap-in from well inside the box.
Atalanta have now risen to 11th position in the standings with 16 points from 13 matches.
