Super Eagles winger Emmanuel Dennis will not be rejoining English Championship club Watford after all.
The Nigerian star, who has been without a club since this summer, seemed on his way to a return to Watford, but that move ultimately fell through.
According to English media, things went wrong during his medicals.
The Championship club had offered Dennis a one-and-a-half-year contract.
Despite the failed transfer, he will be allowed to continue training with Watford for the time being, hoping to gain recognition ahead of the winter transfer window.
For Dennis, a return to Watford would have been a familiar chapter.
The Nigerian had previously worn the club’s shirt for two and a half seasons, scoring 14 goals and providing six assists in 55 appearances.
His performances at the time earned him a lucrative transfer to Nottingham Forest, who paid €15 million for him in 2022.
