Ikorodu City central defender Marvelous Freedom has been ruled out of the forthcoming U20 World Cup in Chile on account of a knee injury.
Flying Eagles spokesman Shariff Abdallah confirmed this development and added that Freedom will now be replaced by Haruna Aliyu of Wikki Tourists.
Freedom will now fly back to Nigeria, while Aliyu is expected to join the squad in Chile Friday morning.
In the meantime, the Flying Eagles will move to Talca City, where they will play their opening group game against Norway Monday, from Santiago, where they set up training base since their arrival from Nigeria.
