Officials have informed SCORENigeria that Norway-based midfielder Daniel Daga will complete the Flying Eagles 21-man squad Tuesday.
Team spokesman Sharif Abdallah said Daga will join the team in Santiago, Chile, from his Norwegian base in the new week.
He will therefore not be available for the first friendly against hosts Chile at the weekend.
It will be his second U20 World Cup after he featured at the tournament in Argentina two years ago when the Flying Eagles reached the last eight.
