Luton Town new signing Hakeem Odoffin will undergo surgery after his routine medical brought up an issue.
The League One club announced this development concerning the 27-year-old defender or defensive midfielder, who signed as a free agent.
Manager Matt Bloomfield said they will support Odoffin through this setback.
“I highly rate him as a defender, as a leader, as a character, as a boy, as an individual. His desire to join us was really strong and again, coming off the back of where we were the last two years, we felt that players with that huge desire to come and play for us was really crucial to blend in the new group,” he explained.
Luton Town were relegated from the English Championship last season just after they were demoted from the Premier League the previous season.
