The rivalry between Fenerbache and Galatasaray has always been intense and now new signing Jhon Duran has shot down comparisons with Victor Osimhen, who will soon complete his transfer to Galatasaray.
The 21-year-old Colombian striker Duran shunned Manchester United to join Fenerbache on loan after a season in Saudi Arabia.
“I don’t like these kinds of comparisons. After all, we all have different paths, different styles,” he told Anabolu Agency.
“I think I’m original in my own way. Therefore, I don’t like these kinds of comparisons.”
But he also insisted Osimhen is not a better than he.
“Of course, he’s a very good player, a player with a passion for the game, but everyone has different qualities and characteristics,” he maintained.
“I can’t say he’s better than me, nor am I better than him. We’re both players who try to do our best for our club.
“I hope the matches we face each other will be a good show for the fans and everyone enjoys it.”
As expected, one of his main targets at his new club is to score against Galatasaray.
“I’d like to score against Galatasaray in a Fenerbahçe jersey. It’s a goal I enjoy; I want to score goals,” he vowed.
