Ghana dump South Africa to claim 2024 WAFCON bronze

Just like it was in 2016, the Black Queens of Ghana claimed the 2024 WAFCON bronze tonight at the expense of South Africa.

Both teams were tied at 1-1 after 90 minutes after Ghana fought back to draw level.

Ghana then won the penalty shootout 4-3 to also avenge the 2-0 loss they suffered in this tournament at the hands of the South Africans.

Ghana’s Alice Kusi was named Player of the Match.
