Victor Osimhen has come under heavy attacks in Italy over his handling of his transfer situation.
Italy’s leading sports newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport has even questioned his character, while a Top Transfer Expert has now warned that “anything is possible” with Osimhen.
Osimhen has literally kept everyone waiting as regards where he will play next season after a successful loan spell at Turkish champions Galatasaray.
He has severally rejected Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal despite their “life-changing” offers to him, while Galatasaray are quickly losing their patience waiting for his decision whether he will continue to play for them.
Gazzetta dello Sport wrote in an editorial today that Osimhen has a “fickle” character.
“He was able to get a mega-contract from Napoli worth 11 Million Euros gross and then leave in a hurry eight months later to Galatasaray,” the newspaper reported.
“He is a steller centre-forward, but in his personality there are traces of indomitable restlessness (which is a euphemism) that are irreconcilable with the most banal logic.”
Top Transfer Expert Alfredo Pedulla said Osimhen’s transfer situation must be closely monitored.
“If he does not accept Al Hilal and does not accept Galatasaray either because he wants to wait, it means he has other things in his head,” he said on his YouTube Channel
“If tomorrow he wakes up with a different idea, I will tell you. I cannot be in Osimhen’s head. Anthing can happen.”
Another top Italian journalist Mario Fabbroni said he hopes the striker is not trying to run out the release clause of 75 Million Euros imposed by Napoli because it will not be in his favour.
Benevento coach Floro Flores has already slammed the Super Eagles striker as being an ingrate to Napoli and that his agents should as quickly as possible get him out to Saudi Arabia.
All those Italians commenting are racists, and enemies of black players. Whenever they see a clever one like Osimhen who has hustled from childhood till he gets to the top, they give them different bad tag. Osimhen, Pls return to Napoli. Endure the six months of irregular actions and get out the team for free, you are one of the best strikers in the world, and too young to go to Saudi league.
Why would anyone say that he’s an ingrate? They all start different narratives when it is a Nigerian. Osimhen knows his value and is demanding that. If not for connections and grace, they’d have frozen him out of Napoli’s team. They’re just trying to bring him down because he isn’t succumbing to their demands. If anyone was in his shoes, I doubt if we’d act differently.
