Morocco could be without at least three key players for tomorrow’s U20 AFCON Group B showdown against the Flying Eagles due to injury.
Morocco lead Group B after they beat debutants Kenya 3-2 in their opening game Thursday, but at a great cost.
Morocco coach Mohamed Wahbi disclosed that Abdallah Boual felt a discomfort in his abductor muscle, Zebiri sprained his ankle, while Reda Alaa is also nursing an injury after a physically bruising clash against the Rising Stars of Kenya.
The coach said the players have undergone tests and scans.
“We are awaiting the results of the medical tests and will not risk any player,” he said.
“Our goal is to prepare everyone in the best possible way without exposing them to danger.”
The Flying Eagles take on Morocco in a second Group B match tomorrow night with kick-off set at 7pm Nigerian time.
