Super Eagles midfielder Raphael Onyedika could be handed a 3-match suspension in the UEFA Champions League after his red card at AC Milan.
Onyedika saw a straight red for a crunching tackle in the first half as Club Brugge fell 3-1 at the san Siro.
Former Club Brugge coach Hein Vanhaezebrouck said a heavy suspension for Onyedika will impact negatively on the Belgian champions.
“This was a justified red card and he will get a suspension of two, maybe even three match days. Bad for him and also bad for the team,” he said.
Onyedika has picked up three red cards in just 18 games.
