AC Milan winger Samuel Chukwueze is again a major injury worry for the Super Eagles ahead of Friday night’s must-win 2026 World Cup qualifier after he suffered a foot injury in today’s training.
Chukwueze did not complete the training, which was played behind closed doors.
He was previously an injury doubt after he was left out of the squad by his Italian club in the closing matches of the season.
All 20 players including the five held back due to the nationwide strike that affected domestic flights took part in the training.
The trio of Alex Iwobi, Maduka Okoye and Ademola Lookman is still expected to report to camp.
The team will train again in the evening tomorrow as they intensify their preparations for the game against Bafana Bafana.
