On a day Victor Osimhen should be celebrating his new and improved contract with Napoli, he was sent off and his club suffered their sixth loss in Serie A this season.
Osimhen was dismissed in the 86th minute after his second booking for a late challenge against a Roma player tonight.
He was the second Napoli player to be sent off, while Roma also had eight players booked.
Roma won the ill-tempered clash 2-0.
Reigning champions Napoli are now well off the running for the Scudetto this season.
They have now dropped to seventh in the standings with 27 points from 17 matches as Roma leap frogged them to sixth position.
